【摘要】:Thistestmethodoutlinesaprocedureforobtainingthermogravimetric(TGA)dataonsolidpolymericmaterialsintendedforuseaselectricalinsulatingmaterials.Donotusethisstandardtoquantifyanestimateofthelong-termthermalcapabilityforanyelectricalinsulatingmaterial.IfarelationshipexistsbetweenTGAandthelong-termthermalcapabilitiesofamaterial,thenthatfactmustbeestablishedandmadepublic,preferablybycomparingdatabetweenacandidateandanothermaterialknowntodisplaysimilarfailuremodes.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsarethestandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
