【摘要】:Presenceofpaper,metal,orincompatiblepolymercontaminationinpoly(ethyleneterephthalate)renderstherecycledpolymerunfitforuseinsecondaryproductmanufacturingoperations.ThisprocedureisusefulforidentifyingdifferenttypesofcontaminationinrecycledPETflakes.1.1Thispracticecoversanindicationofthequalityofrecycledtransparentpoly(ethyleneterephthalate)byexaminationofawaferorplaqueformedbymeltingarepresentativesampleandquenchingittopreventcrystallization.1.2Specificcontaminantsandimpuritiessuchasaluminumparticles,dirtparticles,paper,andfibersareidentifiedinthetransparentwafer.1.3Theoverallcoloroftheplaqueisindicativeofoxidizablecontaminantssuchasethylene-vinylacetate(EVA)glueresidueandthenumberofbubblespresentintheplaquegivesanindicationofthemoisturecontentofthesample.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecificprecautionarystatementsaregiveninSection8.Note18212;ThereisnoequivalentISOstandard.
