【摘要】:ThisTechnicalSpecificationdescribesamethodoftestforwoodpreservativesthatareintendedforuseinwoodtobeexposedtotheweatheroutofcontactwiththegroundwithouttheadditionalprotectionofasurfacecoating.Themethodisapplicabletothetestingofcommercialorexperimentalpreservativesappliedbytechniquesappropriatetocommercialpractice.Themethodisapplicabletochemicalproductsusedindividuallyorincombinationtopreventthedevelopmentofdecayand/or–optional–thedevelopmentofdisfiguringorganismsinwoodand,wheresuitable,inwood-basedproducts.NOTE1Themethodmayalsobeusedtotestothertreatedwoodspeciesandnaturallydurabletimbers.Itmaybeadaptedfortestingthefieldperformanceofotherwoodbasedsystemsandtreatmentsdesignedtoenhancedurability,forexampletreatedoruntreatedwoodbasedcomposites,timbertreatedwithnon-biocidalsystems,chemicallymodifiedorheattreatedtimber.NOTE2Althoughthetestisusedtoassessdecay,itispossibletousethemethodtoadditionallyassessstainoreachseparatelywhenrelevant.
