【摘要】:Formattersrelatingtolotacceptanceofcommercialshipmentsandconformitytospecificationorotherstandard,refertoSection13ofthistestmethod.Thistestmethodisusefulintheselectionanddesignvalidationofpermeable,uncoatablefabricsusedininflatablerestraintcushions.Thedynamicconditionsandhigherpressuredifferentialsofthistestmethodmaybettersimulatetheinflationanddeflationcycleofanairbagmoduleduringdeploymentthandothesteady-stateconditionsofTestMethodD737.5.2.1Onlyuncoated,permeablefabricsshouldbeused.Useofcoatedfabricsmayyieldinvalidresultsandpotentiallydamagethetestapparatus.WithinthelimitsofvarianceexpressedinSection12,thistestmethodisusefulfordesignvalidationandmaybesuitableforincorporationinamaterialspecificationorforlotacceptancetestingofcommercialshipments.Cautionisadvisedonverylowpermeabilityfabricsorwiththe200cm3.sizetestheatbecausebetween-laboratoryprecisionaspresentedinSection12maybeashighas21%.Thistestmethodmaybeusedformaterialsotherthaninflatablerestraintfabricswhichexperiencedynamicairpermeabilityinsuddenbursts.Insuchcases,thephysicalapparatusoritssoftwarealgorithmsmayrequiremodificationtoprovidesuitabilityforuse.Duetothesplit-secondtimeintervalfortesting,thepressureversustimedataissubjecttorecordinganomaliesandelectronicnoise.Thedatashouldbedigitallyfilteredtoobtaintheunderlyingsmoothpressurecurvepriortodataanalysis.Thesoftwareintheapparatusincludesareliablealgorithmbothtosmooththecurveandtodeterminetheexponentofairpermeability.Itisinherentinthedesignandoperationofthisequipmentthatmajorcomponentskeytothecalibrationandmeasurementsarespecifictotheindividualtesthead.Thesizeorpermeabilitymeasuringrangeofthetestheadistypicallychosentocorrespondtothefabricspecimentobetested.Theprecisionofthistestmethodishighlydependentonthesizeofthetesthead.Theprecisionofthedatacollectedusingonetestheadshouldbeusedtoestimatetheprecisionofdatacollectedusingadifferenttesthead,evenonthesameapparatus.Itismandatorythatfabricspecimensbeconditionedandtestedinstandardatmospherefortestingtextiles.1.1Thistestmethodcoverstheproceduresusedtodetermineunderdynamicairflowconditionsthehighpressurepermeabilityofpermeable,uncoatedfabricstypicallyusedforinflatablerestraints.Forthedeterminationofairpermeabilityofinflatablerestraintfabricsunderlowpressureconditionsatsteady-stateairflow,refertoTestMethodD737.1.2Proceduresandapparatusotherthanthosestatedinthistestmethodmaybeusedbyagreementofpurchaserandsupplierwiththespecificdeviationsfromthestandardacknowledgedinthereport.1.3ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
