【摘要】:Whenproperlyperformedandinterpreted,theexpansionpintestwillprovideinformationwithregardtothecapacityofatubeforexpansionandtorevealsurfacedefects.Theexpansionpintestmayprovidedataforresearchanddevelopment,engineeringdesign,qualitycontrol,andacceptanceorrejectionsinspecifications.Incertainproductspecificationswhichestablishrequirementsfortubesofsizesgreaterthan4in.(102mm),thetestdescribedinB968/B968Mmaybeallowedasasubstitute.1.1Thistestmethodestablishestherequirementsfortheexpansionpintestforcopperandcopper-alloypipeandtubingwithaninsidediameterof0.125in.(3.2mm)andgreateroranoutsidediameteruptoandincluding4in.(102mm).Note18212;Fortubesofsizeswithaninsidediameterlessthan0.125in.(3.2mm),asubstitutetestmethodmustbeagreeduponbetweenthemanufacturerandpurchaser.Note28212;Fortubesofsizesgreaterthan4in.(102mm)inoutsidediameter,refertoB968/B968Mforatestmethod.1.2Units8212;Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
